    Danielle's Graduation

    Dated:  22nd March, 2007

Another Graduate added to the family… Yes, Danielle had her Nursery Graduation from Salmiya Playschool on the 22nd of March.  Crystal attended the same Nursery during her time.  My wife and I liked the friendly atmosphere of the teachers at the school.  They make the children love and like studying.  Integrating games and learning along with loads of activities that self motivate the children to strive and seek learning.

This day began with the Graduation Ceremony followed with fun filled games – check out the face painting.

    Crystal's Report Card 2006/2007

    Dated:  26th March, 2007

The end of another school year for Crystal… That means 2 things – Holidays before the new Academic Year & the REPORT CARD!!!  Hmmm… Bena and Crystal went this morning to the School to meet her class teacher and receive her Report Card.  Yes, Crystal has been promoted to Std 2 (Grade 2) with an excellent result on her Report Card.  An overall grading assigned is A* that corresponds to 90% - 100%.

We are proud of her and hope she always keeps up the good work.  Great going Crystal :)

Happy Mother's Day in the Middle East

    Dated:  21st March, 2007

Yes, Mother’s Day is celebrated in the Middle East on 21st March…  Unlike the Brits who celebrate Mother’s Day a week before, nor like the rest of the world, who celebrate in the month of May.

What do we do on this day?  Do we have a big celebration for our mothers?  Do we treat her like a queen?  Do we ignore her or this day?  Well, I’m not a judge of how people what to spend this day.  But my thoughts are a little different.  I see “Mother’s Day”, as a day that we mark on our calendar as a special day to show our affection to our mothers.  Is that correct?  Or should I ask, Is this the actual way we honor our mothers?

I think, everyday should be Mother’s & Father’s day.  Not because of the gifts – but it’s a moment that we take to thank our parents for helping us in growing, guiding us, financing us, providing us with so much of their valuable time and efforts to watch us grow and succeed in life.  They have always been there to hold us when we are about to fall.  There are times when they give us a smile but in the background they have losses to cover up.  Passing as a teenager, we ask the question “Why is he or she (our parents) interfering in my life?”  But we fail to realize the fact that they are protecting us from the “loop holes of life” where they must have slipped.

I understand this because now I write this from a parent’s point of view.  There are times from Mother’s spend day & nights staying us – wondering if their child is going overcome that little flu.  Run from one room to the other, turning the house upside down, panicking – in order that the father or the child does not have to go through the same.

Wish you precious mothers, on this day and everyday, a Happy Mother’s Day.  Thank you for all that you do for us – your children, Husbands & Fathers.

    Crystal's Euro Trip 2007, updated!

At last, I've had the chance of updating the album...  There were loads of photos taken from various cameras - 2 digital camera, cam corder & mobile.  It was difficult to choose the best of them all...  There couple of them that were clicked from various angles.  If I had uploaded all, I'm sure I would have run out of the allocated space.  To make sure that we got all the events, I choose the best and updated this album.

Like I mentioned before, my parents and Crystal left Kuwait - halted in Qatar - carried on to Paris & Lourdes - forwared to Rome & Vatican & after all the prays & fun returned back to Kuwait safely.  Click on the photo on the right side to be redirected to the album.

I hope you enjoy the photos.  I've got to get back to editing my Dad's video recordings.  I'm trying to get the whole lot to a DVD... I'm trying this new software called "Ulead Video Studio 10"...  This is my 1st experience with this software.
